Tomorrows are more important than ever

Junior Achievement helps students focus on tomorrow

With schools closing, Junior Achievement is providing free online resources to teachers and parents. “We believe Central Iowa students should spend more time planning for and dreaming about tomorrow, and less time worrying about today,” said Ryan Osborn, President of Junior Achievement of Central Iowa. “In addition to teachers, we hope parents will see these as meaningful resources for their children during this time of remote learning.”

All JA classroom volunteers and JA BizTown simulations have been cancelled this school year. Instead, JA has converted their classroom programs to be accessed digitally with “virtual volunteers” instructing students on entrepreneurship, financial literacy and career readiness. For students who are missing their JA BizTown simulation this school year, there is good news: Junior Achievement is still planning to offer their JA BizTown Summer Camp in June and July.
