Adams County Sheriff

Jeff Mendenhall, 65, of Corning, was charged with driving while barred and interlock device required 10:37 a.m. Thursday near the intersection 265th Street and Kentucky Avenue.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, Mendenhall was pulled over on Kentucky Avenue and was known to have a barred license. Mendenhall is also required to have an interlock in the vehicle, but the one he was driving did not.

Mendenhall was cited and released on his promise to appear.

Matthew Maeder, 45, of Corning, was charged with domestic abuse and two counts of child endangerment following a call for service 2:09 a.m. Sunday.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, officers responded to a possible domestic abuse. While speaking with a female victim, she said Maeder shoved a female juvenile while engaging in an altercation with other individuals. Maeder also assaulted another female juvenile by pushing and hitting her in the arm and stomach area.

Maeder was being held on $4,300 bond in the Adams County Jail.
