Randy Overholtzer, 50, of Lenox, was charged with driving while barred and possession of drug paraphernalia 9 p.m. Feb. 13 on Main Street in Lenox.

According to a Taylor County Sheriff’s report, was speeding in a 2005 Volkswagen on Main Street. Officers initiated a traffic stop and Overholtzer admitted he did not have a license. K-9 Ciba was deployed and alerted to the odor of illegal substance, giving an indication by scratching near the driver’s door seam. Upon further investigation, a brass pipe used for smoking marijuana was found under the driver’s seat.

Overholtzer was being held in the Taylor County Jailon $2,300 bond.

Robert Girard, 39, of Creston, was charged on a Taylor County warrant for probation violation on the original charge of first-offense possession of marijuana Feb. 15 in Taylor County.

According to a Taylor County Sheriff’s report, Girard failed to maintain employement or make payments toward court-ordered financial obligations. Girard also tested positive for methamphetamine and THC during a urinalysis exam and had been arrested March 25, 2019 for tattooing without a permit.

Girard was being held in the Taylor County Jail on $1,000 bond. Girard has additional warrants out of Adams and Madison counties and will be transferred to their custody once bond is posted.
