Business owners who feel the recent reevaluation of their commercial, industrial or multi-residential properties does not reflect the market value have until 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24 to request a meeting with a representative from Vanguard Appraisals. All appointments will be made on March 2 or March 3 if an extra day is needed to accomodate the volume of objections.
Property owners may also request to meet with the board of review, those protests must be written and may be submitted between April 2 and 30.
Those who wish to contest the new valuation of their property should be prepared to submit documents showing evidence of sales, costs, remodeling and recent appraisals.
