ISSB rewards acts of kindness

Iowa State Savings Bank launched their third annual “Make Things Better” campaign on Jan. 1. The bank is encouraging community members to spread generosity through acts of kindness and then share their stories.

To participate in the Make Things Better campaign, report acts of kindness you have performed or witnessed to Iowa State Savings Bank between now and Feb. 15. Applicants can share their acts of kindness in person, on the ISSB Facebook page, at www.issbbank.com or by calling 888-508-0142.

For every 100 acts of kindness received, ISSB team members will give back one day of service by volunteering in their communities. The goal is to receive 500 acts of kindness and spend a total of 40 hours volunteering in the communities of Creston, Corning, Lenox and Diagonal.

The campaign was inspired by Iowa State Savings Bank’s mission statement: “Be Fair. Earn Respect. Have Fun. Make Things Better.”

Iowa State Savings Bank believes in leading by example describes Marketing Representative Hannah West.

“As we give back to our communities through random acts of kindness or volunteering our time and talents, we can make a big difference,” said West. “When all residents rally together, even the smallest acts of kindness can transform our communities.”

Iowa State Savings Bank has served Southwest Iowa for 136 years including the Creston, Corning, Diagonal and Lenox communities. Progress of the “Make Things Better” campaign can be viewed on the ISSB Facebook page.
