IA TOPS No. 1338

IA TOPS No. 1338 Creston met at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 30 at Creston Methodist Church with 11 members present. Mitzie Cellan called the meeting to order with TOPS pledge and roll call. Alice Brown was “best loser,” and second place was a tie between Cellan and Bev Roberts. Last week’s fines went to the treasury. Our monthly “best loser” was Brown, and Donna Scheel was runner-up. The minutes were read by Roberts, and Brown gave the treasurer’s report. We received a notification of maintenance fees due. The officers arrived early to pack all the club records and scales as we were unable to afford our raised rent at the church. Therefore, we will meet at a new place. Donna Scheel gave the program on “10 super foods for better health.” Next week Carol Sheldahl will give the program. The squares contest was won by Marisue Lewis and red can challenge is No. 20 for three days, with a one meal a day challenge: “If you cannot wash it, don’t eat it.” The group was adjourned at 6 p.m. with “You Take My Hand.” Our next meeting will be Jan. 5, 2020, with weigh-ins starting at 6 p.m.
