Jamie Foote, 46, 502 N. Cherry St., was charged with public intoxication 2:23 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of North Elm Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Foote was observed staggering in the Elms Club parking lot with bloodshot eyes, having difficulty maintaining balance. Officers were at the location handling a different issue when Foote approached them and spoke in a way indicating he wanted to fight the officers. Foote had his fists clenched and chest puffed and began swearing at the officers while they were trying to calm him down.

Foote was being held in the Union County Jail on a $300 bond.

Kaylee Nelson, 26, 112 Manor Dr., was charged with assault on an officer, interference of official acts and public intoxication 3:55 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of West Townline and North Lincoln streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Nelson was spotted by officers while she was intoxicated in the middle of a roadway. Officers tried to intervene but Nelson ran and attempted to climb a fence. When officers caught up with her, Nelson attempted to punch one officer and kicked another. After arriving to the Union County Jail, Nelson remained combative, refusing to exit the vehicle and continuing to punch and kick at the officers. Nelson was issued a preliminary breath test resulting in a .209.

Nelson was released from the Clarke County Jail on a $1,600 bond.

Mannie Shepherd, 218 S. Pine St., reported a wallet was taken from a vehicle Monday parked outside his residence. The wallet contained miscellaneous identification cards, credit cards, permits and cash.

Estimated loss was $225.
