Adair County Sheriff

Brandy Dawn Johnson, 42, of Perry was charged with third offense operating while under the influence, driving while revoked and operating a vehicle without an interlock device 7:47 p.m. Sept. 9 on Interstate 80.

According to an Adair County Sheriff's report, deputies were called to a single vehicle accident at mile marker 88 westbound on Interstate 80. Upon arrival, deputies found Johnson walking in the ditch and escorted her back to her vehicle where they found empty alcohol bottles in the vehicle and a partially empty bottle in a purse. Deputies noted Johnson had an odor of alcohol on her breath, slurred speech, bloodshot watery eyes and dilated pupils. Johnson admitted to drinking vodka and Fireball whiskey while driving. Her license was found to be revoked with an interlock device required. Johnson was transported to the Adair County Sheriff's office where she was failed field sobriety tests and her preliminary blood alcohol test measured .223. A subsequent Datamaster blood alcohol test measured .179.

Johnson was released on $5,000 bond.

Bobby Glen Agan III, 47, of Stuart was charged on an outside warrant from Cass County for first offense domestic abuse assault while displaying a weapon and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon 10:59 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Adair County Jail.

According to an Adair and Cass County Sheriff's reports, Cass County deputies were dispatched to a domestic dispute occurring in a vehicle 10:51 p.m. Aug. 26 on Highway 148. Upon speaking with the victim and two witnesses, Bobby Agan did try to hit a victim with his pickup and also displayed a stun gun during a confrontation on Highway 148 just south of Interstate 80. Agan also stuck a victim twice with his fists during the confrontation.

Agan was released on $500 bond.
