I was sad to see in Friday’s News Advertiser (Sept. 30) that children are being taught to kill birds and to learn that there is a special event to diminish one of nature’s most passive species, the one with a comforting, soothing coo.
WHY??? What is next, robins and humming birds?
Hopefully, if any doves make it to the southland this winter, they will stay there. Isn’t our wildlife being eliminated fast enough without the assistance of the Destruction of Natural Resources (DNR)?
