Chad Elliott and the Redemptions to play the Corning Opera House

Back by popular demand is Chad Elliott and the Redemptions Sept. 14, 2019 at the Corning Opera House Cultural Center

Chad Elliott’s life serves as fertile ground for his music, where he turns love, loss, fatherhood and forgiveness into well worn lyrics with timeless melodies. Elliott will perform on acoustic guitar and harmonica and will be joined by his full band, The Redemptions, including Tommy Lewis, lead guitar, Travis McFarlane, keys, Kevin Boehnke, trumpet, Joseph Cafaro, upright bass, and Jim Van Dorn, drums.

The Iowa singer-songwriter performs more than 200 shows each year. Chad Elliott’s music ranges from modern gospel love songs to country soul and parlor blues. “This is Americana at its finest ... Elliott has immersed himself in gospel, blues, roots-rock and white-boy RnB to the point where he comes across as a striking combo of Fogerty, Mellencamp and Springsteen.” Said Mike green of Goldmine Magazine.

Chad is also the author and illustrator of Wilderman’s Treetop Tales, a book of poetry with whimsical color paintings, similar to Shel Silverstein. Eight of the 3’ x 4’ paintings are on display throughout the opera house until Sept. 30.

Reserved advanced seating for adult tickets are $20 and $25 at the door. Discounts are available for students. Tickets can be purchased online at www.corningoperahouse.com or by calling 641-418-8037. The Corning Opera House is located at 800 Davis Avenue on historic Main Street Corning.
