Creston Community High School was a hub of activity Thursday as parents and coaches got together for the annual Fall Activity Night.

Volleyball fans were treated to an intrasquad scrimmage, before Lenox visits for a scrimmage against Creston in the Panther gym at 4:30 p.m. today (Monday). After the scrimmage, new coaches Traci Haley and assistant Carmalee Woods met with parents of the volleyball players.

Team meetings with parents were also held for cross country in the school’s media center, the football team in the auditorium, as well as band and vocal parent meetings in their respective classrooms.

In addition, representatives of Creston Activities Booster Club were selling Panther merchandise in the school commons, and sharing membership information. The booster club helps fund all school activities.

Parents were given team rules and guidelines and information about eligibility matters and team functions that are scheduled during the fall season.

The season begins in earnest this week as the football team travels to Chariton Friday to begin the 2019 season. The volleyball and cross country seasons for Creston begin Sept. 3 at Adel-DeSoto-Minburn and Dallas Center-Grimes, respectively.
