Kayla Kathleen Morgan, 30, Mount Ayr was charged with first degree burglary, on a Ringgold County warrant. 4:40 p.m. June 28.

According to a Ringgold County Sheriff’s report, during a traffic stop conducted in Mount Ayr Morgan was observed in the front-passenger seat of the vehicle.

The warrant was issued for a burglary that occurred in Kellerton on June 26. Elken was implicated by admission statements and identified by witnesses.

Morgan is being held on $10,000 bond.

Justin Michael Elken, 35, of Mount Ayr was charged with first degree burglary on a Ringgold County warrant 4:30 p.m. June 28.

According to a Ringgold County Sheriff’s report, during a traffic stop conducted in Mount Ayr, Elken was observed in the back-passenger seat of the vehicle.

The warrant was issued for a burglary that occurred in Kellerton on June 26. Elken was implicated by admission statements.

Elken is being held on $10,000 bond.

Daniel Leo Hayes, 64, 302 S. Maple St., was charged with first degree harassment on a Union County warrant, 8:35 p.m. Saturday on the intersection of U.S. Highway 169 and W. South St. in Mount Ayr.

According to a Ringgold County Sheriff’s report, Hayes came to the victim’s place of employment to discuss a money matter. Hayes continuously yelled at the victim telling him that he had better have life insurance and that Hayes would end him. The victim also had several text messages from Hayes that reference this situation.

Hayes is being held in Ringgold County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.

Monty Eric Parkhurst, 55, of Clearfield was charged with second offense domestic abuse assault on a Ringgold County warrant 3:30 p.m. July 3 at 1372 U.S. Highway 25.

According to a Ringgold County Sheriff’s report, the victim stated Parkhurst punched her in the arm during an argument leaving a bruise. Parkhurst later that day grabbed the victim around the neck and shoulder area. A witness corroborated the victim’s statement.

Shuane William Tindle, 32, of Lorimor was charged for failure to appear on a Ringgold County warrant 10:54 p.m. Friday in Union County.

According to a Ringgold County Sheriff’s report Tindle entered an occupied structure, without a right, license or privilege to do so, while having the intent to commit a felony, assault or theft. Tindle was near the scene of the crime and possessed other physical evidence.

Tindle is being held on a $5,000 bond.
