Glen Scott, 84, of Fontanelle died Friday, July 5, 2019, at Greenfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Greenfield.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at Fontanelle United Methodist Church with burial in Canby Cemetery in rural Fontanelle. The Rev. Cathy Nutting officiated. A luncheon was held at the church following the committal services. Open visitation was from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at Steen Funeral Home, 525 Maple St., in Fontanelle with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Glen Scott memorial fund to be determined. Glen Leo Scott, son of Lawrence and Frances (Dunn) Scott, was born Jan. 31, 1935. Glen was raised in the Fontanelle area, and in 1949, graduated from eighth grade at Eureka Center.

On March 17, 1956, he married Shirley Irene Mulhern in Greenfield. After their marriage, they lived in Des Moines for a year and Glen worked at NAPA. In 1957, they moved to the Fontanelle area and began farming.

Glen was a member of United Methodist Church and other groups.

Glen is survived by his son Jim (Peg) of Fontanelle; daughters, Joni (Scott) Chafa of Prescott and Jana (Brad) Lydon of Kimballton; grandchildren, Jamie (Chad) Meyer, Jessi (Josh) Christensen, Kyle (Jessica) Chafa, Zeke (Courtney) Chafa, Sara (Jeremy) Fish and Tye Lydon; great-grandchildren, Jalen, Avery and Tate Meyer, Kenzie Miller, Jordan, Caleb and Olivia Christensen, Maddux Chafa, Gracie and Sophie Chafa, and Stella and Max Fish; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Radke and Joyce Mulhern; other relatives and friends.

Glen was preceded in death by his twin sister Shirley, father, mother and wife Shirley.
