IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa has announced the names of more than 600 students who were named to the president’s list for academic achievement during the spring 2019 semesters and included Selena Sampson of Creston, Danica Clayton of Greenfield and Regan Tullberg of Lenox.

UI established the president’s list in the fall of 1983 to recognize academic excellence. In order to be included on the list, a student must have a minimum GPA of 4.0 in all academic subjects for the preceding two semesters, with a total of at least 12 semester hours of credit per semester during that period.

More than 5,700 students at the University of Iowa were named to the UI’s dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester and included Elizabeth Fuller of Corning – College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Mary Grace Mahoney of Creston – College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Madison Phelps of Creston – College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Selena Sampson of Creston – College of Nursing, Danica Clayton of Greenfield – College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Regan Tullberg of Lenox – College of Nursing, John Young of Mount Ayr – College of Public Health and Trina Restauro of Mount Ayr – College of Nursing.

Undergraduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering and Tippie College of Business who achieve a GPA of 3.50 or higher on 12 semester hours or more of UI graded course work during a given semester or summer session.

UI's spring 2019 graduates had an average cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.16 on a 4.0 scale.
