Jessica Marie Shadley, 32, of Creston was charged with first offense possession of a controlled substance 12:11 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of highways 34 and 25.
According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, Shadley was stopped for a defective muffler when officers noticed a smell of marijuana. K9 Baxo was deployed and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics. A marijuana joint was found under the front passenger seat.
Shadley was released on $1,000 bond.
