Cory Wayne McKinney, 44, 706 N. Walnut St., was charged with driving while barred and third or subsequent offense operating while impaired 12:20 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of North Pine and Swan streets.
According to a Creston Police report, officers observed McKinney operating a motorcycle erratically. After stopping McKinney, officers noted signs of impairment, but he refused field sobriety testing. A data master test showed a .000 blood alcohol level; a urine sample was requested, but McKinney refused.
McKinney was released on $7,000 bond.

William Gene Cromar, 26, 217 N. Maple St., was charged with possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of controlled substance, marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and two counts of child endangerment 4:08 p.m. Thursday on the 200 block of North Maple Street.
According to a Creston Police report, Cromar was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and a pipe containing a leafy substance and appeared impaired at the time of his arrest. Cromar placed two minor children in substantial risk by using drugs and allowing drug activity in the home where they reside. The drugs were found in areas accessible to the two minor children.
Cromar was being held on $6,300 bond and a Nebraska warrant.

Dixie Lou Hernandez, 42, of Omaha, Nebraska, was charged with possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of controlled substance, marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and two counts of child endangerment 4:08 p.m. Thursday on the 200 block of North Maple Street.
According to a Creston Police report, Hernandez was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and a pipe containing a leafy substance. Hernandez placed two minor children in substantial risk by using drugs and allowing drug activity in the home where they reside. The drugs were found in areas accessible to the two minor children.
Hernandez was being held on $5,300 bond in the Adams County Jail.

Kenny Joe Cunningham, 29, 307 S. Vine St., was charged on a Union County warrant for simple assault 3:52 p.m. Thursday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center.
According to a Creston Police report, Cunningham assaulted a victim Tuesday at 200 S. Elm St. by punching the victim in the face.
Cunningham was released on $300 bond.

Troy Eugene McKinney, 55, 211 S. Sumner St., was charged with driving while barred 9:44 a.m. Thursday at 200 S. Elm St.
According to a Creston Police report, McKinney was seen driving on North Elm and Union streets. He was known to officers as having his license barred as a habitual offender. McKinney made suicidal statements and was transported to Greater Regional Health for a 48 hour hold.
McKinney was given a promise to appear based on the hold.

Tara Joleen Oshel, 25, 313 N. Maple St., was charged with fifth degree theft 8:54 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of South Cherry Street and Highway 34.
According to a Creston Police report, Oshel was seen on video footage concealing items in her purse at Walmart. She was confronted by the store manager but refused to stop. Oshel exited the store without paying for the items. Estimated value of the items was $9.33.
Oshel was released on $300 bond.

Keegan Wayne Williams, 22, of Jefferson was charged with interference with official acts and two counts contempt of court 9:01 a.m. Friday at the Union County Court House.
According to Union County Court documents, during a hearing for an indigency hearing to determine Williams’ eligibility for counsel at public expense, Williams was disruptive and disrespectful despite repeated warnings from court. The court found him guilty of contempt. Williams attempted to escape and was subdued by officers on the court house stairs.
Williams was being held on $500 bond.

Creston True Value, 801 W. Townline Rd., reported two skid loaders taken 8:36 a.m. Friday.
According to a Creston Police report, True Value reported that sometime between 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday someone hooked up to two trailers containing two Case Skid Loaders and removed them from the property. One trailer was a black R&W flat bed trailer with a yellow Case 430 Skid Loader. The second trailer was a black H&H flatbed trailer with a yellow Case TR320 Skid Loader.
