NV boys host three in one tournament

Nodaway Valley hosted their annual three in one golf tournament, May 2 at the Greenfield Golf and Country Club. The Wolverines were shorthanded with two players missing the tournament due to illness.

“This was the first tournament our boys have played in,” said coach Joel Klobnak. “I think it tested their will and endurance, as frustration set in a little early. We had two stay home sick, which put us below the four-player minimum qualifying for team scores and it hurt us in the best shot and better ball departments. Nonetheless, it was a great learning experience. Golf is a huge mental game, and there will always be frustrating times in golf. You need to learn your limits and find your strength in those times of frustration. Today was another building block in their golf game.”
