For the second match in a row, the Valley Girls failed to find the net, losing to Tri-Center 5-0.
Tri-Center scored two goals in a five-minute span of the first half, to take a 2-0 lead into intermission last Tuesday, April 23.
“They got us down quick, but the girls fought hard the last 20 minutes of the first half,” said coach Mike Krawczyk.
The two-goal deficit grew in the second half, as Tri-Center scored three times.
“The second half we let them get us down even more,” Krawczyk said.
There was a silver lining despite the loss.
“We did have some better passing moments tonight,” Krawczyk said.
Krawczyk also cited the play of Macy Kuhns, Brooklyn Jackson, Hope Link, Michaela Jeager and Abby Speichinger.
The Valley Girls were 4-3 on the year at that time with the loss.
