Adams County Sheriff

Eric Wayne Shinn, 30, 405 N. Sycamore St., was charged on a Union County warrant for second offense domestic abuse assault 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Shinn met the victim at Casey’s, 301 W. Taylor St., to exchange money. An argument started, and Shinn, while in his car, grabbed the victim by the shirt and started to drive away. The victim had bruises on her hand and a scrape on her forearm. Shinn has a prior domestic conviction from 2011.

Shinn was being held without bond in the Union County Jail awaiting an appearance before the magistrate.

Donna Bennett of Creston reported items were taken from her residence 11:46 a.m. Friday.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Bennett reported sometime between April 11 and 12, someone entered her house and took a Danby beverage cooler, 50” LG TV and tools.

Estimated value is $1,000.

Ashley Vandel of Afton reported broken windows on two vehicles 4:24 a.m. Sunday.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Vandal reported sometime between 4:14 and 4:24 a.m., someone broke all the windows out of her two vehicles.

Estimated damage is $1,200.

Adams County Sheriff

Brandon Scott McClarnon, 29, of Thurman was charged with driving under suspension 11:07 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of eighth Street and Loomis Avenue.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, when Adams County deputies conducted a traffic stop on McClarnon, he was found to be driving while under suspension.

McClarnon was released on $566.25 bond.
