Area girls soccer: Valley rolling despite Treynor loss

Valley girls beat Knoxville

KNOXVILLE – The Valley girls topped Knoxville Thursday, winning by a final of 3-2.

The girls had scores from Link Hope, Meredith Marks and Abigail Speichinger en route to their fourth win of the season, improving to 4-1.

In goal, Chloie Otto stopped six shots of eight on net.

Allison Scheel found her way into the point column, tallying the lone assist of the game for Valley.

Valley falls 8-0 to Treynor

TREYNOR – The Valley girls were unable to stop a tough Class 1A No. 7 Treynor team, falling 8-0 for their first loss of the season Tuesday, April 9.

Otto made 10 stops on eighteen shots.

No Valley player was able to put a shot on goal.

Valley routs East Sac

LAKE VIEW – The Valley girls blew past East Sac Monday, April 8 in an 11-1 victory.

The win made it three in a row to start the season for Valley, outscoring their opponents 19-2 through the three games.

Marks netted a hat trick, a team high and Scheel, Speichinger and Hope scored two goals each. Madelyn Jaeger and Michaela Jaeger each scored one goal and tallied one assist in the win.

Macy Kuhns also tallied an assist.

Otto stopped one shot of the two she faced on net.
