GREENFIELD – Residents in the Greenfield area will soon have the option of a new pharmacy in town.
NuCara Pharmacy, which owns and operates over 25 pharmacy locations in the Midwest, is partnering with individuals in the community to provide a local pharmacy presence. The location will first make its home within the Adair County Memorial Hospital’s business office with a more permanent location coming soon.
Pharmacist and local resident, Rachel Hall, said, “I’ve enjoyed building relationships with patients and providers in the Greenfield area and thanks to NuCara, we will be able to continue to build on what we’ve already started.”
Many of the staff from the former Shopko Pharmacy will be making the transition with Hall.
“NuCara places a high priority on patients, emphasizing great service and care. I feel that this will be a great fit for myself, the pharmacy staff and the community,” Hall said.
Maintaining a pharmacy in town was a group effort with help from the Greenfield Chamber, Adair County Memorial Hospital and several members of the community.
“We look forward to being a part of the Greenfield community. We are passionate about providing great health care options to our patients,” said Brian Wegmann, CEO of NuCara. “It’s obvious this community also makes that a priority.”
NuCara will offer retail pharmacy services, medication packaging services and also provide medications to the local nursing home facilities. For more information about their services, visit www.nucara.com.
