Adair Co GLBT Resource Center to hold grand opening

GREENFIELD – A local business, the Adair Co GLBT Resource Center, 141 Public Square, in Greenfield will hold its grand opening 11 a.m. Friday, March 1.

The center is open to all people, but will focus on the needs of the GLBT community and their allies.

Some of the services that will be provided are free Wi-Fi, computer lab and self-help resources (books, etc.). Soon the center plans to open a coffee and juice bar, game room and more. The center will offer low cost meeting space for groups such as AA, NA and OA. A gift shop is also in the works.

The business focuses on the individual. Yes, they will offer coffee and juice drinks, mocktails and more, but what really sets them apart is the safe place for the GLBT communities of the area to meet, network, discuss problems and solutions. They have meeting rooms available for low cost for self-help organizations. All are welcome, and there are various programs and activities on a monthly basis.

The center has been in existence on the web since November 2017 at www.adaircoglbtresourcecenter.com. The move to the physical location started in January. There are a lot of plans for the space, and the center will be renovating the facility to be completely handicapped friendly as soon as possible.
