Cast announced for Corning community theater

CORNING – “Picasso at Lapin Agile,” a Steve Martin comedy is the next community theater play production at the Corning Opera House Cultural Center. Director, Andrew Bardole announced the cast for this long running Off-Broadway production where Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso are in a Parisian café in 1904. The time is just before the renowned scientist transforms physics with his theory of relativity and the celebrated painter set the art world afire. These two geniuses muse on the century’s achievements and future prospects.

New to the stage will be Monica Hunter as Charlotte Dabernow Schmendiman and Kelsey Hedinger as Suzanne. Familiar faces are Alex Gibeau as Freddy, the owner of the Lapin Agile; Jim Heaton as Gaston, an older man; Bonnie Goodson-Gibeau as Freddy’s girlfriend and waitress; Joslynn Moore is the Countess and female admirer; Brittany Mullen is Sagot, Picasso’s art dealer; Ben Mullen is 25 year old Einstein; and Nick Wetzel is 23 year old Pablo Picasso. Behind the scenes are Andrew Heaton and De Heaton.
