Megan Badgett Rodriguez

Megan (Badgett) Rodriguez, 32, of Kissimmee, Florida, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at her home in Kissimmee, Florida.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, in Creston. The Rev. Mary O’Riley will officiate. Open memorial gathering with family present will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to American Heart Association. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.

Megan Marie (Badgett) Rodriguez, daughter of Sharon Dolores (Pilgrim) Richardson and Jerry Lee Badgett, was born Feb. 9, 1986, in Des Moines. She attended elementary school in Creston, and in 2003, Megan graduated from Taft High School in Lincoln City, Oregon.

On June 12, 2004, Megan married Clark C. Crow in Lincoln City, Oregon, where they made their home. She worked as an active mother, waitress and cook at the Nelscott Café and at Tanger Outlet Mall. In 2013, they returned to Creston, where she worked at the Windrow as a waitress and at Greene Accounting. Megan also took courses at Southwestern Community College. They later divorced, and Megan moved to the Minneapolis metro area, where she attended Minnesota School of Business earning her associates degree.

In 2015, she moved to Kissimmee, Florida, and began attending Valencia College. She also volunteered at her children’s school.

On Sept. 19, 2018, Megan married Joey Rodriguez in Kissimmee, Florida.

Megan was a former member of Cornerstone Church in Lincoln City, Oregon, Apostolic Light House Church and St. John’s United Church of Christ in Creston.

Megan is survived by her husband Joey Rodriguez of Kissimmee, Florida; father Jerry (Donna) Badgett of Prescott; mother Sharon (Darald) Richardson of Salome, Arizona; children, Jay Crow, Colton Crow and Izabella Crow, all of Kissimmee, Florida; stepchildren, Christian, Neftalia, Tyler and Ariana Rodriguez; brother Jason (Brenda) Badgett of Ames and stepbrother Mustafa (Bethany) Beyyette of Creston.
