Des Moines Area Community College

DES MOINES – Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) students from the area have received scholarships from the DMACC Foundation for the spring semester.

The recipients include:

• Edward Cook of Shannon City, applied engineering technology, $1,000 Keith Moore Memorial

• Alisha Pickering of Lorimor, undecided, $500 Hallet Foundation

• Tori Rogness of Lorimor, associate general studies, $1,000 DMACC Pioneers

Central College

PELLA – More than 360 students earned a spot on the fall 2018 dean’s list for Central College.

The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester.

The following local students earned a spot on the dean’s list:

• Ericka Abell of Cromwell

• Matthew Dickinson of Greenfield

Drake University

DES MOINES – Sarah Golwitzer of Lorimor was named to the dean’s list at Drake University. This academic honor is achieved by earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the fall 2018 semester.
