Greater Regional Health Auxiliary will be awarding five $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing careers in health care in 2019. The auxiliary has been awarding health care scholarships for more than 35 years.
Scholarship criteria and application forms are available at high school and college guidance offices in Adair, Adams, Clarke, Ringgold, Taylor and Union counties. Information on the scholarships may also be obtained by calling volunteer services at 641-782-3553 or Patty Marean at 641-782-7426. All applications and accompanying materials must be submitted prior to Friday, April 12.
Greater Regional Health Auxiliary is conducting its annual membership drive. Annual dues to be a member of the auxiliary are only $10. Lifetime membership is $100. Membership does not require active participation as a member or volunteer.
Auxiliary membership supports all fundraising efforts including health care education scholarships, safe sitter training, health education projects, Greater Regional special projects, community bloodmobiles, volunteer education and employee recognition.
Mail membership dues (make the check out to GRMC Auxiliary) to Volunteer Services, Greater Regional Medical Center, 1700 W. Townline St., Creston, IA 50801.
