Moore, Kunert retire from ISSB

Joann Moore and William Kunert are retiring from their positions at Iowa State Savings Bank (ISSB). For many years, Moore and Kunert dedicated their careers to meeting the financial needs of community members in southwest Iowa.

ISSB CEO, Adam Snodgrass, said Moore and Kunert will be missed by their customers and co-workers.

“I began my banking career at ISSB working with both Joann and Bill,” Snodgrass said. “At that time, we all worked in the loan department at our downtown location. I want to thank them both for their years of great service to our customers and thank them for their friendship.”

“Joann and Bill have been strong assets to the ISSB team,” said Kevin Stewart, ISSB President. “They have shown their commitment to the bank and their customers over the years. We wish them well in retirement.”

Joann Moore

Moore, Vice President Consumer and Consumer Real Estate Lending, will retire Dec. 21.

Moore was born and raised in Creston and graduated from Creston High School. From there, she attended Iowa State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree.

Moore began her tenure at ISSB in March 2000, where she served the community as a bank teller. She was later promoted to a loan processor. In January 2003, she began working as a mortgage lender.

“Choosing to retire was a tough decision to make,” Moore said, “My years with Iowa State Savings Bank have been filled with wonderful experiences and associations with great people. I am truly going to miss serving my customers and co-workers.”

William Kunert

Kunert, Vice President Agricultural Lending, has been with ISSB for more than 35 years. He will retire from his position Dec. 31.

Kunert has always enjoyed working in the agricultural industry. He grew up on a farm in Humboldt County, and his love for the farm transitioned into his role at ISSB.

He graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business and began working at ISSB in October 1983 as an assistant agricultural representative.

Kunert has witnessed many changes in the banking industry during his tenure at ISSB, but one thing has remained the same; his commitment to agricultural operations.

“I have enjoyed my years at ISSB,” Kunert said. “I consider my fellow ISSB bankers as part of my family. I have also enjoyed my time working with customers and helping them grow their operations.”

Transition

ISSB hired Randy Ringsdorf and Tucker Mittag in June in preparation for the retirements of Moore and Kunert. Ringsdorf was hired as Vice President of Consumer and Consumer Real Estate Lending. He brings 17 years of banking experience to the ISSB team, including 12 years of consumer and real estate lending. Mittag began working at ISSB as an Agricultural Loan Officer. He brings five years of previous lending experience and holds a Bachelor’s degree in animal science from Northwest Missouri State University.
