Randy Kilgore

Randy Kilgore, 68, of Creston died Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at his home in Creston.

Burial of cremated remains will take place privately at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter. Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, in Creston is assisting with arrangements. Memorials are to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.

Randal Max Kilgore, son of Max Stanley Kilgore and Margaret (Bradshaw), was born Aug. 18, 1950, in Creston. He graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1968.

Following his graduation, Randy married Barbara Boyd in Creston. In 1969, he enlisted with the United States Army. Randy was honorably discharged in 1971, and returned to Creston where he worked with his father at Kilgore Used Cars as a car salesman, and later at Deter Motors in Atlantic.

On Feb. 4, 1983, Randy married Sherry Wambold in Orient. They later divorced.

Randy is survived by his children, Eric (Beth) Kilgore of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Crystal Witt of Winterset, Tiffany Kilgore of Winterset, Sherrece Kilgore of Bridgewater and Lakota Kilgore of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Kaye Carson of Huxley; nephews, Lance Carson of Huxley and Dustin Kilgore of Des Moines; along with many cousins and friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and brother Rudy Kilgore.
