DES MOINES – Slipknot, with special guests to be announced, is set to take the Grandstand stage during the 2019 Iowa State Fair. They will perform 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at www.iowastatefair.org or 800-514-3849. Tickets will cost $43, $53 and $60, depending on location of seats in the Grandstand.
Originally from Des Moines, Slipknot has been impacting popular culture since the late 1990s. Known for their enigmatic, provocative and aggressive music style, Slipknot has been nominated for 10 Grammy Awards, winning in 2006 for “Before I Forget,” and has scored 13 Platinum and 44 Gold record certifications around the world. In the five years since their latest album, “.5: The Gray Chapter,” has been released, the band’s audience has grown. This will be Slipknot’s first performance at the Iowa State Fair.
