Jeff Bird

Jeff Bird, 54, of Creston died Thursday, June 14, 2018, at his home in Creston.

Celebration of life memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, at Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Ave., in Creston. No visitation will be held. The Rev. Joanna Davis will officiate. Flag presentation will be by Theodore J. Martens, Creston V.F.W. Post No. 1797. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.

Jeffrey Michael Bird, son of Frances Dell (Lee) Bird and Jerry Lee Bird Sr., was born Dec. 2, 1963, in Creston. He graduated from Creston High School in 1983.

In October 1988, Jeff started his family with Rainee England. He was a lifelong Creston resident and worked for Cordell Construction, Taylor Ball and other various construction jobs.

Jeff attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Creston.

Jeff is survived by his daughter Brandy (Jason) Abdulbaki of Creston; son Billy Bird of Creston; brothers, Jerry (Cheryl) Bird of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Joel (Brenda) Bird of Atlantic; granddaughter Olivia Marie and special friend Tim Fechter of Creston.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Frances Bird; brother Jim in 2012; grandparents, Otto and Opal Bird and Floyd and Hazel Lee and friend Jason Oglesbee.
