South Central Iowa Community Foundation (SCICF) is excited to announce Oct. 1 will mark its 25th anniversary of serving the local counties. To celebrate this milestone, SCICF will be awarding five $5,000 grants to charitable organizations in each of its counties, Clarke, Decatur, Lucas, Ringgold and Union. Anyone may nominate their favorite charitable organization in their county by filling out the very brief application form found at www.scicf.org.
To qualify, organizations must be a 501(c)(3) or a be a governmental body serving a charitable purpose. This one-page application must be postmarked or emailed by July 6 to be eligible. Limit one grant application entry per person. There is no age limit and SCICF encourages everyone to apply.

Once SCICF has received the applications, each county advisory board will review and make recommendations to the board on their top five selections. Winning entrants, and the organizations they nominated, will be contacted on or before Aug. 31 and will be invited to attend the 25th anniversary gala event Monday, Oct. 1, to accept the $5,000 grant award.
