Clifford D. Blazek, 89, of Creston died Monday, May 21, 2018, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston.
Graveside memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, at Prairielawn Cemetery, north of Creston. The Rev. Delores Doench will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be determined. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.
Clifford Dale Blazek, son of Jesse Lee Blazek and Mary Margaret (Breakenridge) Blazek, was born Jan. 12, 1929, in rural Kent. He was educated in Cromwell, and graduated from high school there with the class of 1947.
On Nov. 14, 1948, Cliff married Beth Joanne Foley in Creston. They settled near Nevinville, where Cliff farmed and later also worked for Wellman Dynamics as an inspector. In 1977, they sold their farm, and Cliff retired from Wellman Dynamics in 1994. They moved to Mesa, Arizona, in 1998, where they resided for 15 years, and returned to the Creston area in 2013.
Cliff attended Cromwell Church and was a member of the Eagles Lodge and Pine Valley Country Club.
Cliff is survived by his spouse Beth Blazek of Osceola; daughters, Vickie (Dannie) Stephens of Creston, Barb (Dave) Murtha of West Des Moines and Linda (Steve) Marley of Creston; son Steven (Tammy) Blazek of Adel; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and brother Robert Blazek of Midland, Texas.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents.
