Levi Paul Robbins, 91, of Osceola died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Afton Care Center in Afton.

Graveside services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Fremont Cemetery in Clarke County with the Rev. Chuck DeVos officiating. Visitation with family present was from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., in Osceola, prior to going to the graveside service. Levi Paul Robbins, son of Abe Henry Robbins Sr. and Ida Mae Hurley Robbins, was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Lead, South Dakota. Levi attended school in Lead, South Dakota, and Exline. He worked at the ammunition factory in Ankeny during the war.

On Sept. 8, 1962, he married Shirley Joyce Duncan in Worthington, Missouri. Levi worked road construction for many years for Fred Carlson Construction and helped build Interstate 35 and Interstate 80.

Levi is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Robbins of Osceola; son George Robbins of Prole; daughters, Paula Robbins and Grace Jessica Robbins, both of Des Moines; sister-in-law Jannete Robbins of Murray; niece Ida Sue Robbins; as well as other relatives and many friends.

Levi was preceded in death by his parents, Abe Robbins Sr. and Ida Mae Robbins; brothers, Abe Henry Robbins Jr., Lawrence Edward Robbins and Winfred Jackson Robbins and sisters, Bonnie Belle Pratt and Lois L. Robbins.
