No citations were issued following an accident 10:26 p.m. Feb. 6 on 150th Street.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Victoria Adiana Borha, 17, of Creston was driving a 2003 Oldsmobile eastbound on 150th when it met with a westbound vehicle which flashed its lights at her and then entered the eastbound lane, at which time Borha attempted to avoid the oncoming vehicle and dropped off the shoulder causing her to lose control of her vehicle, cross the center line and westbound lane, enter the ditch and come to rest in a farm field.

Damage estimate was $1,500 for Borha’s vehicle and $300 for the farm’s fence.

No citations were issued following an accident 9:52 p.m. Saturday on Highway 25.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Jenna Marie Vanderpluym, 19, of Greenfield was driving a 2003 Pontiac south on Highway 25 when she lost control because of snow on the road, crossed the northbound lane and entered the ditch.

Damage estimate for Vanderpluym’s vehicle was $3,000.

No citations were issued following an accident 8:55 a.m. Monday on West Mills Street.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, John William Hays, 60, of Creston, was plowing snow in the alley in a 2016 Dodge pickup and as he was backing his vehicle up he did not see Julie Ann Chaney, 63, of Creston, who was driving a 2014 Ford, pull into a parking area behind a business and then back into alley. Hays backed into Chaney’s vehicle causing minor damage to her rear light.

Damage estimate for Chaney’s vehicle was $300, but there were no damages to Hays’ vehicle.

Ernest Kyle Sayler, 33, of Creston, was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle following an accident 1:43 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a Creston Police report, Ann Marie Bishop, 26, of Cromwell, was driving a 2013 Dodge and was stopped for traffic when Sayler. who had looked away and could not stop in time, struck her from behind.

Damage estimates were $1,000 to Sayler’s vehicle and $2,000 to Bishop’s vehicle.
