Black Friday kicks off holiday shopping in Creston

Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season and Creston area businesses are offering shoppers special Black Friday deals throughout the week.

Create Creston will be offering 20 percent off all their art supplies. The shop also offers handcrafted gifts from artists in the area.

The discounted price is also good during Small Business Saturday and on Nov. 30 when Santa visits the Depot.

Family Shoe Store

Family Shoe Store is offering Black Friday deals all week, through Saturday. Shoppers can expect 20 percent off all shoes including those on sale and on the basement racks.

Hazel Marie’s

Hazel Marie’s will have regular business hours on Friday, but will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Small Business Saturday.

Shoppers will find 30 percent off selected items as well as mystery specials announced the day of the sale. Prices will also be good for Small Business Saturday.

U.S. Cellular

U.S. Cellular will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Black Friday. Along with specials on Google Home, tablets and other electonic gadgets, shoppers can get the latest smartphone for free. The only requirements for the free phones are a qualifying trade-in and activation of a Total or Total Plus plan. Without a qualifying trade-in, the cost of the phone is $10 a month.

The special price is good from today through Monday.

Tractor Supply Co.

Tractor Supply Co. is having a storewide sale and will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

Shoppers will find Wrangler shirts and jeans for 20 percent off, Carhart insulated wear for $20 off, and all outerwear will be 15 percent off.

Some of the big tickets items will include $300 off a Cannon 64 gun case, a Fortress 24 gun case for nearly half off, $300 off trailers, and for the sports enthusiast, $100 off a fishing kayak.

Many businesses are extending their specials through Saturday and beyond, allowing shoppers more time to take advantage of these special offers.
