Dean Meisenheimer, 86, of Greenfield died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, at Greenfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Greenfield Cemetery. The Rev. David Kincaide will officiate the service. Coffee and bars will be served at the church following services at the cemetery. Visitation with family present was from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, at First Presbyterian Church in Greenfield. Dean Henry Meisenheimer, son of Marx and Mary (Bruhn) Meisenheimer, was born Jan. 25, 1931, in Adair County. Dean was raised in Adair County and attended country school through the eighth grade. He served his country in the United States Navy.
On Nov. 21, 1956, he married Rose Anne Lee in the First Presbyterian Church in Greenfield. Dean lived all of his life in Adair County. Dean worked for Schildberg Construction Company for more than 40 years.
Dean was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Greenfield American Legion Head-Endres Post No. 265 and V.F.W. Post No. 5357.
Dean is survived by his wife Rose Anne Meisenheimer of Greenfield; children, Deb Jameson of Fontanelle, Kathy Hagen (Bruce) of Columbia Falls, Montana, Julie Permu (Robert) of Polk City, Dean Alan Meisenheimer of Creston, Lori Armstrong (Scott) of Greenfield and Daryl Meisenheimer (Jenny) of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Angie Jameson, Jeff Jameson, Ben Jameson, Travis Armstrong, Tyson Armstrong, Spring Thompson, Barry Hagen, Kaili Hagan, Nyssa Meisenheimer, Nevin Meisenheimer, Sarah Meisenheimer and Paris Meisenheimer; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lucille Meisenheimer and Jeri Lee; grandson-in-law Kevin Cherry; other relatives and friends.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; sister Doris McCarthy; brothers-in-law, John McCarthy and Charles Lee; brothers, John Dallas and Ted Meisenheimer; infant brother Dean; son-in-law Dale Jameson; daughter-in-law Susan Meisenheimer and granddaughter Danielle Cherry.
