Creston Parents Activity Night Schedule
THURSDAY
3:00 p.m. Volleyball Pictures in gym
Volleyball parents meeting at 4:30 p.m. in the gym
Volleyball scrimmage vs. Lenox at 5 p.m.
6 p.m. Band parents meeting in the band room
6:30 p.m. Cross Country parents meeting media center
6:30 p.m. football parents meeting in the auditorium
Panther football scrmmage at Drake Stadium
TheCreston/Orient-Macksburg football team will have the opportunity for the second consecutive year to scrimmage at Drake Stadium against Des Moines Roosevelt on Friday evening.
Attendance is free for everyone who indicates they are there to watch/are from Creston.
The freshman and JV take the field at 6 p.m., and will play from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Varsity pregame will begin at 7:30, and the varsity is slated to begin play at 8 p.m.
The scrimmage is live contact and will be played like a traditional game with two 12-minute quarters, which should run until around 9:15 p.m.
The squads will also run through special teams repetitions.
After a short break, the squads will begin situational play.
The teams will run through a set number of red zone, goal line and “backed up” plays before moving on to 2-minute drills and 4-minute drills.
