5 minutes with Jacque Greene, owner of Kelly's Flowers

AGE: 50

HOMETOWN: Afton

FAMILY: Husband, Terry, a veterinarian in Afton; five children, Josh, Elly and Whitney, who all work full time at Kelly's flowers, and Bo and Drew; and two granddaughters

BEST COMPLIMENT YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED? I have a letter that a lady wrote me one day. It was a lengthy letter about a funeral situation. ... Some people say they really appreciate what we have done for Creston and that we're here.

WHAT ARE SOME POPULAR SUMMER FLOWERS? Petunias are probably the No. 1, geraniums, the little million-bell petunias, impatiens. Those are probably the top four. And begonias of course.

MOST INTERESTING FLOWER REQUEST? Right now, succulents are still really popular and there are different kinds of those that are really unique. And using them in weddings is really fun and, I think, unique because they look so amazing. But, other than that, people sometimes want to send dead flowers, which I hate.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU OWNED KELLY'S FLOWERS? More than 10 years

FAVORITE FLOWER: Petunias

WHO ARE YOU MOST LIKE IN YOUR FAMILY? My dad. I just grew up helping him on the farm and I was the oldest of five girls, so I was his hired gal.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU'D LIKE TO SEE MORE OF IN CRESTON? Different types of businesses and more industry

MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT ON THE JOB: One day I stepped on something and slid down a hill. Gosh, looked like a total idiot.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? Of course, I garden a lot and spend time with my two granddaughters and my family.

IF YOU HAD A YACHT, WHAT WOULD YOU NAME IT? Oh gosh. Oh, maybe, "Flower Power?" What do you name a yacht? "Flower Girl?" Something with flowers.

WHAT WAS THE LAST PICTURE YOU TOOK WITH YOUR PHONE? A paint can last night because I was going to buy some paint today and I used my phone as a list.

WHAT IS YOUR PERFECT PIZZA? I love the tomato basil. That's the one I make.
