Roger Burg

Roger Burg, 63, of Fontanelle died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Celebration of life services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Fontanelle United Methodist Church with burial in Bryant Cemetery in rural Fontanelle at a later date. The Rev. Cathy Nutting will officiate the service. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service. Roger Keith Burg, son of Melvin and Eleanor (Warrior) Burg, was born Feb. 9, 1953, in Fontanelle. Roger was a resident of Fontanelle his entire life. He graduated from Fontanelle High School in 1971. Roger was employed at Wellman Dynamics as foundry support for seven years.

He is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Burg.
