Mahan, Berry wed in April ceremony

Cassie Mahan and Austin Berry were married April 30 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston.

The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Jane Mahan of Creston. The groom is the son of Shon and Karen Berry of Creston.

The Rev. Ken Halbur officiated the ceremony.

Maid of honor was Jessica Harris, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amanda Montanye, Rhianna Leith and Dani Crouch, friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Kendra Mahan and Josie Mahan, nieces of the bride. Flower girl was Aubree Mahan, niece of the bride.

Best man was Adam Leith, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Tyler Wolf and Leo O’Brien, friends of the groom and Cody Sobotka, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Chad Mahan and Tyler Mahan, brothers of the bride. Ringbearer was Kaden Mahan, nephew of the bride.

Colors were ivory, blush and champagne. Dresses were from Modern Dress in Boone, and tuxes were from Van Gelder’s. Flowers were from Theresa’s Fine Florals.

The bride’s personal attendants were Brenda Mahan and Jenny Mahan, sisters-in-law of the bride. The cake was made by Kim Hoepker, photography was done by Taycey Post Photography and videography was done by Maxx Walters.

A reception was held after the ceremony at Elk’s Lodge in Creston. Hosts were Tom and Tonya Mahan, aunt and uncle of the bride, and Dean and Jan Schulte, Mike and Karen Eblen and Bill and Penny Oetken, all friends of the couple. Bill and Penny Oetken also were deejay for the reception.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Creston High School and 2009 graduate of Hair Tech School of Cosmetology. She is currently employed as cosmetologist at Reflections Salon.

The groom is a 2006 graduate of Creston High School, 2008 graduate of Southwestern Community College and 2010 graduate of Iowa State University in Ames. He is currently employed as credit analyst at First National Bank.

After a honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica, the couple reside in Creston.
