Iowa Farm Bureau names Congressman David Young friend of agriculture

WEST DES MOINES – The Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) Political Action Committee (PAC) has designated Congressman David Young as a “Friend of Agriculture” for the 2016 primary in Iowa’s third district. Guided by grassroots input, Young was selected based on his support of Farm Bureau policies, voting record and support of Iowa’s farm families and agricultural economy.

Representing the most populated and least populated county in the state, Young has supported Farm Bureau policies that promote job creation and the economy in both Iowa’s urban centers and rural communities.

“In his first term in office, Young has quickly proven to be a strong supporter of Iowa’s agricultural economy,” said Randy Dreher, Audubon County farmer and IFBF PAC chair. “With one in every five Iowans employed in agriculture and ag-related industries, it is essential to have a strong advocate for agriculture like Young representing Iowa in Congress.”

The Iowa Farm Bureau Federation is a grassroots, statewide organization dedicated to enhancing the people, progress and pride of Iowa. More than 159,000 families in Iowa are Farm Bureau members, working together to achieve farm and rural prosperity. For more information about Farm Bureau and agriculture, visit www.iowafarmbureau.com.
