Pauline Moberg, 100, of Creston died March 8, 2016, at Crest Haven Care Centre.
Private family burial services will be at a later date. Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, in Creston is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church of Creston to be used for the kitchen. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.
Pauline Alvira (Miller) Moberg, daughter of John A. and Hattie (Molby) Miller, was born Oct. 4, 1915, on a farm southeast of Creston in Grant Township.
Pauline attended school through fourth grade in the rural school of Grant No. 2. When her family moved into Creston in 1924, she attended Irving Grade School, Creston Junior High and Creston High School, and graduated from Creston Junior College in 1934. For five years, 1934 through 1939, she taught in rural schools in Grant and Douglas townships.
On June 3, 1939, Pauline married Don Moberg and was a rural homemaker on a farm north of Creston. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Creston where she was active in the Women’s Missionary Fellowship and Winmore class. She was also a member of Spizzerinktum Club, O.D.O. Club, Bancroft and South Valley Quilters.
Pauline is survived by her son Jon (Carol) of Creston and their children, Alex, Charla, Jean and Jennifer; son Richard (Vanita) of Creston and their children, Brady, Bob, Matt, Ann and Philip; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one niece and two nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2005 and sisters, Alice Taylor and Helen Long.
