Loretta Dillinger

Loretta Dillinger, 37, of Thayer, formerly of the Creston area, died Sept. 22, 2015, in rural Union County.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, in Creston. The Rev. Tim Haynie will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimor Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family. Loretta Lynn (Lawrence) Dillinger, daughter of Loretta Lorraine (Purscell) and Larry Wayne Post, was born March 30, 1978, in Creston. She attended school in Afton. She held a variety of jobs over the years. She had worked as a certified nursing assistant for Nurses on Call and nursing homes in the area.

Loretta is survived by her father Larry (January) Post of Winterset; children, Brandon Lawrence (girlfriend Mandee Barnes) of Creston, Dylan Lawrence of Sidney, Justin, Jeremiah and Natausha Dillinger of Essex; stepfather Frederick Lee Solt of Lorimor; grandchildren, Torri Lawrence of Creston and Catalayla Buchanan of Clearfield; siblings, Bob (Jennifer) Post of Rushville, Missouri, Alvin Post of Ankeny, Donny Post of Osceola, Mike Post of Des Moines, Jerry Lawrence of Creston, January (Michael) Johnson of Arkansas, Melvina (Tim) Burton of Maloy, Larry Gene (Holly) Shepherd of Winterset and Jodie Clapsaddle of Des Moines; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Loretta was preceded in death by her mother Loretta Scott and daughter Audrey Dillinger.
