Greater Regional welcomes OB/GYN Toby Marshall, MD

Open house is planned for Feb. 12.

Greater Regional Medical Center has announced Toby R. Marshall, MD, board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, recently joined the Greater Regional medical staff in February. Marshall specializes in women’s health care including preconception care, obstetrics, gynecological services, menopausal medicine and associated surgical services. He is credentialed by the North American Menopause Society as a menopause provider.

“I chose to come to Greater Regional because I was looking for the opportunity to live in a smaller community like where I grew up in Wyoming,” Marshall said. “I also look forward to creating a practice in Creston offering the full range of women’s health services. Greater Regional Medical Center is a truly impressive facility and deserves to also have state of the art obstetrics and gynecology. Patients won’t need to travel away from home to get the best care possible. I look forward to working with the current physicians providing obstetrical care at Greater Regional in order to develop the highest quality unit in the state – centered around patient safety and excellence.”

Marshall most recently practiced at Methodist Physicians Clinic/Women’s Services in Council Bluffs and was an associate professor and assistant residency program director for Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska.

He attended the University of Wyoming, where he obtained a bachelor of science and master’s degree in zoology and physiology. He graduated medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine and completed his residency at University of Florida Health Science Center with a specialty in obstetrics and gynecology.

“In our ongoing efforts to meet the health care needs of our community, we are pleased to announce full-time women’s health services are now available at Greater Regional,” said Monte Neitzel, CEO.

Marshall will lead the effort to create a new women’s health service line at Greater Regional to provide women with a comprehensive array of services available locally. Marshall will be co-located with Greater Regional Medical Clinics in Suite 110 and will be accepting new patients. His office can be reached at 641-782-3887.

An open house to welcome Marshall will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, in the Medical Arts Plaza. The public is welcome to attend.
