Hazel Cunningham, 85, of Creston died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at Greater Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, in Creston. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Creston. The Rev. Dwayne Henrichs will officiate. Open visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are to be determined. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.

Hazel Kathryn Cunningham, daughter of Hildred Mae (McKercher) and Orville Frank Camden, was born Jan. 28, 1930, in Urbana, Missouri. Hazel attended North High School in Omaha, Nebraska.

On Jan. 31, 1953, Hazel married James D. Cunningham, Jr. in Corning. They settled in Creston and have been lifelong residents where she was a homemaker.

Hazel is survived by her son Ronald James Cunningham (Lisa Bauer) of Des Moines; daughters, Mary Lee Perrigo of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lorrie (Dale) Stewart of Thayer and Janet (Roger) Auten of Creston; brother Robert (Serena) Camden of Omaha, Nebraska; sister Darlene (Jack) Guhl of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters-in-law, Mary Cochran of Creston and Mary Jane (Wayne) Spriggs of Greenfield; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren and many nieces nephews, relatives and friends.

Hazel was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; husband James Cunningham in 2011; brothers, Melvin, Glen, Clarence, Wayne and Orville Camden and Richard (Lois) Anderson; sisters, Lucille and Ruby Skow and son Nelson Perrigo.
