Winners advance in Elks Hoop Shoot

Winners in three age divisions for boys and girls advanced to district competition Jan. 23 in Clive in the annual Elks Hoop Shoot held Saturday at Southwestern Community College.

Girls 8-9 — 1. Mylee Comstock, Nodaway Valley, 9-25 (tiebreaker 4-5); 2. Breya Nickle, Mount Ayr, 9-25 (3-5); 3. Krista Clear, Creston, 8-25 (1-5); 4. Audrey Young, East Union, 8-25 (0-5); 5. Jersey Foote, St. Malachy, 6-25 (3-5).

Girls 10-11 — 1. Morgan Driskell, Creston, 15-25; 2. Keely Coen, St. Malachy, 12-25 (5-5); 3. Kaylie Shields, Mount Ayr, 12-25 (3-5); 4. Whitney Lamb, Nodaway Valley, 11-25; 5. Jacy Kralik, Creston, 10-25 (3-5, 4-5).

Girls 12-13 — 1. Rylie Driskell, St. Malachy, 21-25; 2. Maddax DeVault, Nodaway Valley, 15-25; 3. Katie Adair, Creston, 14-25; 4. Adalyn Reynolds, Mount Ayr, 9-25; 5. Halie Evans, St. Malachy, 8-25.

Boys 8-9 — 1. Parker Varner, St. Malachy, 22-25; 2. Joshua Schaefer, St. Malachy, 18-25; 3. Dawson Nelson, Nodaway Valley, 17-25; 4. Jacob Mangels, Nodaway Valley, 16-25; 5. Dylan Graham, Mount Ayr, 14-25.

Boys 10-11 — 1. Bryce Berlau, Nodaway Valley, 18-25; 2. Boston DeVault, Nodaway Valley, 15-25; 3. Patrick Varner, St. Malachy, 13-25; 4. Cale Eklund, East Union, 12-25; 5. Kyle Strider, St. Malachy, 11-25.
