Bill Shimer

Bill Shimer, 43, of Des Moines passed away Saturday morning unexpectedly.

Bill was a plumber and ran his own business. Bill enjoyed darts, camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Bill enjoyed his beer.

Bill is survived by his wife Naomi; children, Tony (Patty), Jessica (Alex), Wayne (Matt), Steven (Destiny), Garrett (Michaela), Raven and Rylie; three grandsons; one granddaughter; brothers, Carl (Dawn), Chuck (Karyn) and Rob (Tracy); nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother and a nephew.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Grandview Park Funeral Home, 3211 Hubbell Ave., in Des Moines. Memorials can be made to the family.
