Jeffrey Lee Ibbotson, 72, 435 Wyoming Ave., was cited for failure to provide proof of financial liability after an accident 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of West Taylor and South Oak streets.
According to a Creston Police report, Ibbotson, driving a 1989 GMC east on West Taylor, was not paying attention, looked up and noticed a 2010 Ford, driven east by Sherry Lynn Heimke, 65, 203 W. Townline St., was turning and collided with the rear end of Heimke’s vehicle. Heimke said she was waiting for traffic to pass, did have her turn signal on to turn left and was rear ended.
Ibbotson was able to drive away from the accident. Heimke’s vehicle was towed by Hi-Crest Auto.
Damage estimates are $1,000 to Ibbotson’s vehicle and $3,000 to Heimke’s vehicle.
