Pyner Relays
CORYDON — Mount Ayr finished second here Thursday at the Pyner Relays behind Pride of Iowa Conference opponent and host Wayne.
Wayne tallied 168 points, with Mount Ayr scoring 99 points, ahead of Chariton’s 92.
The Raiderettes claimed three victories in the meet, with senior Katie Holmes winning the discus with a throw of 94-11. Sophomore Blair Glendenning won the 800 meters, crossing the finish line in 2:42.66.
The Mount Ayr 4x100 relay team of Caylie Hickman, Alyssa Johnson, Ashton Johnson and Bailey Anderson won in 56.56.
Hickman placed second in the 200 meter dash, while Ashton Johnson and Alyssa Johnson finished second and third in the 100 meter hurdles. Mount Ayr also took the runner-up spots in the 4x800 relay and the distance medley relay.
