Eva Cadman, 94, of Creston died April 5, 2015, at Creston Nursing and Rehab.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at Story Memorial Gardens in Ames. The Rev. Chuck Spindler and the Rev. Dennis Reynolds will officiate. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens. A luncheon will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday for friends and family at the Summit House in Creston. Open visitation will be 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday with family present 5 to 7 p.m. and a 7 p.m. prayer service at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, Creston. Eva I. Cadman, daughter of Winnie May (Sills) and Oscar Newton Warren, was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Ames.
Eva was educated at Ames Community Schools.
On March 30, 1940, Eva married Lyle William Cadman in Bethany, Mo.
After marriage, they settled in Ames where Eva was a homemaker before moving to California in 1960 where she worked for Aires Bakery.
In 1980, Eva returned to Nevada where she again was a homemaker.
Later, in May 2004, Eva moved to Creston to be near family.
Eva is survived by her daughter Jean Swanson of Creston; sons, Michael (wife Karen) Cadman of Gold Canyon, Ariz., and Ed Cadman of Creston; sister Garnet (husband Sterling) Knutson of Ames; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lyle in February of 2006; daughter Cloreen Wood; brothers, Russell, Orville, Bob, Ed and Loyd “Bud” Warren; sister Neva Langford; granddaughters, Lyla Jane Andrew and Dee Ann Cadman; and great-granddaughter Neva Jean Andrew.
